Joe Harter, 48, of Auburn, a graduate of Wabash College and a former sports editor of The Journal-Review, died last Thursday in Fort Wayne Veterans Administration Hospital, friends here have learned. Mr. Harter was a former assistant editor of the Auburn Evening Star. He was a native of Flora. The deceased was a past commander of the Auburn post of The American Legion. Survivors include his widow, Margie; a son, Mike, and a daughter, Linda. Services were held Saturday at Auburn. – jlr & ww
